Nick Moore is ARC’s Senior Trader, working together with the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Portfolio Manager to ensure best execution for the company and its asset management clients. Nick comes to ARC from Artemis Capital Management where he was a member of the Investment Committee and served as Head Trader, overseeing all the firm’s institutional trading activities and counterparty relationships. Before Artemis, Nick started his career at Charles Schwab in various client service roles before transitioning to Schwab’s trading operations team. He brings with him a process-oriented approach to execution that aims to reduce risks, avoid errors, and minimize transaction costs during each trade’s life cycle. Additionally, Nick employs his expertise in exchange traded derivatives and risk overlays to help the team tactfully adjust their clients’ market exposure when necessary.
Nick believes having a deep focus on a single aspect of the investment process, along with a team that compliments one another, is the key to outperforming competition. In the industry, it’s impossible for one person to fully understand the nuances of every role which is why it’s imperative to chain together a team of people that are top performers in their respective area.
Nick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX with his BA in Business and minor in Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of Dallas/Fort Worth.
When he isn’t in the office, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, Laura, their 1-year-old son, Elias and Blue Heeler, Diego. Together they enjoy traveling, eating new foods, and searching for the perfect cortado.
